For a riot of first-class vintage, these twin boutiques cannot be missed. Luckily, they’re by appointment only, so hogging the racks is positively encouraged. Owned by a French couple (Philippe is an antiques dealer, Emmanuelle an art historian), the boutique reveals their flair for collecting unique and beautiful pieces from around the world. Everything here is for hire – typically, a wicked weekend away in Courrèges will set you back 180€, or you may find yourself wearing a leading lady’s Grès. Make an appointment, specify your needs, and a personalised selection will be put together for you. On our last visit we spotted quirky 30s evening dresses, show-stopping Dior couture and slinky YSL gowns. The accessories are particularly strong. Popular with cinema and advertising gurus, the Japanese fashion-hunters have the address on lock-down.
