
On May 9 a new exhibition is opening at the Metropolitan Museum’s Costume Institute in New York. It’s an exhibition who will pay homage to Paul Poiret, the “King of Fashion” and his spectacular design. He is most remembered for freeing women from corsets and liberating them through pantaloons. The exhibiton will explore Poiret’s modernity in relation to Cubism, Classicism, Orientalism, Symbolism and Primitivism. The exhibition is made possible by Balenciaga and
