It's going to cost a lot more to check into The Plaza when the landmark property reopens this year. The famous French Chateau-style structure undergoing extensive renovations since the hotel closed in May 2005 will include some of the world's priciest apartments, costing as much as $60 million. Soon a select few will call The Plaza hotel home. In its storied 100-year history, The Plaza hotel has seen such prominent figures as Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald frolic in its fountain and Ernest Hemingway drink at its bar.
