Marina Marriot is getting a $60 million glamour injection in to Ft.Lauderdale. Full renovations on the newly-christened Ft. Lauderdale Grande Hotel & Yacht Club will be completed next month. The interiors are refreshing, stylish and modern, not to mention well-insulated from the frat boy set. A branch of Manhattan restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow's chic China Grill has already started serving guests lucky enough to snag one of the soft-opening suites.

Connecticut

Ostrea Marine

The luxe motorboat designed by Ostrea Marine with Parisian luxury leathergoods maker Lancel, which debuted at the recent Paris Boat Show, has gone on sale in a limited edition of 25 with a $236,000 pricetag. The 25-foot "Le Nantucket" is designed to adapt the amenities of a classically-designed luxury yacht to a craft suitable for use on rivers and lakes.

Over the next six weeks, famed British department store Harrods in Knightsbridge will feature model rooms from the Palazzo, furnished with marble and gold accents and exclusive designs from Versace's home collection.
